Woman accidentally shoots herself in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police say a woman accidentally shot herself in the leg Tuesday morning in Lexington.

Officers say they got the call just after 10 a.m. The woman told them she had her hand on the trigger and accidentally pulled it while in her car on Ross Avenue.

The fire department took the woman to UK Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they have no reason not to believe her so they’re not investigating it anymore.
