Wolfe County crash leaves one person dead

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Wolfe County.

According to police, 42-year-old Lonnie Harvey, of Jackson, was driving on KY15 South around 1 a.m. Thursday when a van crossed the median and hit Harvey’s car.

Harvey was taken to Kentucky River Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the van, 54-year-old Sheila Couch, was also taken to Kentucky River Medical Center then flown to the University of Kentucky hospital.

Police say she is in stable condition.
