Winchester Sunday Alcohol Sales Ordinance To Be Drafted
Residents in Winchester are one step closer to a possible vote on Sunday alcohol sales.
On Tuesday night, the Winchester Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to draft an ordinance that would allow liquor to be sold in restaurants on Sundays from 1 p.m.-10 p.m.
The proposal will not affect package sales.
A first reading on the ordinance is scheduled for August 20th.
If it passes at that time, it would have to pass again September 10th to become law.
The Clark County Fiscal Court will host its own public forum on the issue on August 14.
