Winchester man pleads guilty in connection to mother’s death

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Winchester man has pleaded guilty to reckless homicide for his mother’s 2018 death.

Clark County Circuit Court says 28-year-old Jeffrey Wisecup entered the plea Thursday.

According to police, Wisecup’s mother, Sheila Wisecup, was having a seizure and, instead of calling for help, he dragged her into another room and closed the door.

They say Wisecup discovered her dead the next day but did not report her death until five days later.

Wisecup is scheduled to be sentenced on February 14.
