Winchester man charged in Airbnb death now suspected in second woman’s death

WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 News Now) — A Winchester man already charged with murder in the death of a woman at an Airbnb in Powell County is now also a suspect in a second death in Clark County, according to Winchester Police.

Investigators say 44-year-old Brian Epperson is their primary suspect in the death of Reacheal Dawson, who was found dead June 27 in a room at the Red Roof Inn on Interstate Drive in Winchester. Dawson had been reported missing from Irvine the day before. Police say a family member pinged her cell phone to the hotel, where she was found dead.

Detectives say Epperson had rented the hotel room.

Winchester Police say they are now working with Kentucky State Police to investigate both Dawson’s death and the earlier Airbnb case.

As previously reported, Epperson was arrested June 27 in connection with the death of 32-year-old Kristen Morris, who was found dead from an apparent drug overdose inside an Airbnb in Stanton.

Court records show Epperson is scheduled for an arraignment Friday and a preliminary hearing next Tuesday at 1 p.m.

ABC36 News Now will continue to follow this developing story.
