Winchester celebrates last ‘Rock the Block’ event of the summer

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Winchester community got together Friday night for its rock the block event that featured folk-rock band Rifletown.

It was a huge turnout outside of the courthouse steps on Main Street where people not only enjoyed some food and drinks before the concert….but a car show as well…hosted by “Remember when Cruizers”.

This is the fourth “Rock the Block” the city has held this summer…with Friday night being the last.

Local business owner Kenny Allen says he’s just happy to see everyone getting together again.

“I think it’s a beautiful thing that the community can come back down here and spend time together with one another and their families. I think it’s a beautiful thing in Winchester, Kentucky. ”

If you missed out this year…don’t worry.
Rock the block should be back next summer from May to August.
