Williamstown Independent Schools briefly on lockdown Wednesday
WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)- The school day is back to normal Wednesday at Williamstown Independent Schools after a potential threat put the district on its emergency management plan late in the morning.
A letter home to families says the threat was made in the JR/SR high school. Williamstown Independent also includes an elementary school and head start/preschool.
Someone working at the school at the time says law enforcement brought in a police dog to sniff the building. The district says first responders confirmed the potential threat was a false alarm.
