Whitley County teacher/coach charged with sex crimes

CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Whitley County teacher/coach is facing charges related to a child sexual abuse material investigation.

According to a Kentucky State Police release, 39 year old Lioney A Henriquez is charged after he allegedly had inappropriate relationships with two minors.

The nine counts of promoting a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 18 is a Class-C felony, punishable by five to ten years in prison, according to KSP.

Henriquez also is charged with two counts of sexual abuse, first degree, and procuring or promoting the use of a minor by an electronic means.

Records show Henriquez is a teacher/coach in Whitley County Schools.

He was taken to the Whitley County Detention Center.

The investigation was handled by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch.
