Wet road blamed in fatal Mercer County accident

MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A driver is dead following an accident in Mercer County.

According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the driver lost control on a wet road and hit a utility pole Thursday.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Mercer County Coroner’s Office.

There was no one else in the vehicle, according to deputies.

The name of the victim has not been released.
