Weather-delayed program by Vietnam vet scheduled for Tuesday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Vietnam veteran whose presentation at the University of Louisville was postponed due to recent winter weather has been rescheduled for next week.
Michael Moryc (MOR’-ihk) returned to Vietnam 40 years after serving there with the Army to deal with memories of the war.
Moryc will speak at 4 p.m. EST Tuesday in Chao Auditorium of Ekstrom Library.
Moryc is a nature photographer based in Nashville, Tennessee.
He arrived in Vietnam in 1968 at age 20. Decades later, the returned with a longtime friend, David Horvath of Louisville, and documented the visit through photography.
