Water line breaks expected to keep utility crews busy
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s a scene residents throughout central and eastern Kentucky likely will see for days to come…utility crews digging up and repairing froze, broken water lines.
American Water crews have been busy across Lexington in the wake of Thursday’s ice and frigid temperatures.
With more of the same in the forecast, more breaks are expected.
One of many breaks is along Southridge Drive just off Broadway in Lexington.
“This doesn’t happen when it’s 70 and sunny,” one worker said of the conditions.
