Warrant issued for murder suspect after deadly shooting at Perry County apartments

UPDATE: 11:00 A.M.

According to the Leslie County Sheriff’s Office, Danny Blue Asher was located after someone reported a suspicious person in the area.

Deputies responded to the report and identified the individual as Asher, who had an active warrant for murder.

Authorities say Asher was taken into custody without incident.

PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Authorities in Perry County are searching for a man accused of a deadly shooting at a local apartment complex.

According to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, a warrant was issued Tuesday night for the arrest of 33-year-old Danny Asher. Deputies say Asher also goes by the nickname “Blue.”

Investigators say Asher is accused of shooting and killing Ryan Huff Tuesday at the Bubby Combs Apartments on Darfork Road.

Officials say Asher’s last known address was in the Bonnyman community.

Authorities warn that Asher should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him and instead call 911 immediately.

The investigation remains ongoing.
