Wanted man walks into a police station

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) — A man drove to the Berea Police Department on June 21, and ended up arrested for Theft.

Lexington resident Eulan Sams arrived at the PD, intending to ask for a gasoline voucher. When an officer ran a background check, they discovered he had an active warrant out on him. Detained on the scene, he was sent to a nearby Detention Center.

Police say they later ran a check on the license plate of the vehicle that he had driven to the station, and found Sams had rented it months ago, and never returned it to the rental company.

Sams is being charged with Theft By Failure to Make Required Deposition of Property.
