Wanted Man Leads Police On Dangerous Chase In Laurel County
According to the sheriff, Donald Fox III was wanted in Virginia. The sheriff said Fox caused a serious crash at the intersection of US 25 and US 25 east in Laurel County early Sunday morning while he was driving a stolen car. Deputies said Fox fled the scene of that crash and was pursued by a constable.
The sheriff said the constable got out of his cruiser to chase Fox on foot when Fox stole the cruiser. Fox then led multiple agencies on a chase north toward London, according to deputies.
At one point, Fox tried to hit a deputy in the cruiser and according to the sheriff, that deputy shot out a rear tire of the cruiser Fox is accused of stealing.
Once the chase ended the sheriff said a deputy wrestled with Fox and used a taser to control and arrest him.
Fox was taken to UK for minor injuries before he was expected to be taken back to the Laurel County Detention Center. He faces man charges including attempted murder of a police officer.
