Wanted Frankfort murder suspect arrested by US Marshals in Louisville

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — A Frankfort murder suspect was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in Louisville on Tuesday, police said in an update to the months-long search.

Simeyon Johnson was arrested by Marshals in conjunction with the Louisville Metro Police Department.

He was arrested on a warrant for the alleged murder of Thomas Wideman on July 9.

On that day around 11:30 p.m., Frankfort police were sent to the 100 block of Marlowe Court for a shooting.

A witness told police they saw Johnson flee the scene.

Police found Wideman, 50, dead at the apartment complex.

No other information was immediately available.
