Vote approved in proposed zoning change in Nicholasville
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) — After a special called meeting on Monday night, where residents in near Keene Road, like in the Minnow Cove Court area, Squires Way, and surrounding areas showed up to voice their concerns on a proposed zoning change.
Lexington Developer Keene 169, an L.L.C filed an application for a zone map amendment for over 21 acres.
They want to change it from an A-1 county central agriculture area to a B-1 city central business district.
That property is located on 1281 Keene Road.
Residents in the area are worried about the future and what the proposed zoning change could mean for the future of their properties.
On Monday, attorneys representing the residents and Keene 169 LLC presenting the project talking about the pros and cons.
After a long meeting hearing from public comments the vote was approved.
