Viral video leads to online fundraiser for visually impaired children

DENVER, Co. (WTVQ) – A Colorado mother of a little girl with Albinism, is trying to use her Internet-fame to raise money for visually-impaired children.  You can help by simply singing a song to someone and posting it on a special Facebook page.

Megan McMorris posted a video on Youtube showing her daughter, Louise McMorris, who has severe Albinism, seeing her mother clearly for the very first time.

The touching video went viral with nearly 12-million views and counting.  That response gave Megan an idea.  She is known for singing to her daughter, so she decided to launch an online singing mommy contest to raise money for the non-profit, Anchor Center for the Blind, where Louise attends weekly for therapy.

"They can sing to their child, a spouse, a pet, it’s all good and fun," said Megan.

She’s challenging people to post songs on a special Facebook page.  You have until April 3, 2015, to enter the contest and vote, but you can donate anytime.
