Vigil to be held for MSU student found in dorm

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) – A vigil will be held for a Morehead State University student who died on Monday.

According to the Maraman Billings Funeral Home, Elizabeth Anne Creamer, 19, of Shepherdsville, passed away on Oct. 18. She had been found by her roommate in their dorm in Alumni Tower.

Rowan County Coroner John Northcutt said no foul play was suspected and that an autopsy was being conducted in Louisville.

MSU’s Student Government Association has announced multiple opportunities for students to pay their respects. Moments of silence will be held at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21 at the Bell Tower on campus, then a candlelight vigil at 8 p.m.

The university says counselors are available to all students for free.

Creamer’s visitation is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 22 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday. After the services, she will be buried at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
