Teen charged in fatal hit-and-run out on bond; vigil announced for victim
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A teen charged in a deadly hit-and-run in Georgetown is not out on bond.
In court on Tuesday, bond was set at $10,000 dollars for 18-year-old Taylor Putty. He posted the money and was released Tuesday afternoon. Putty is due back in court in April in Scott County.
A 17-year old is also charged in the hit-and-run accident on Sabin Drive.
Deputies say the two teens hit 49-year-old Donald Savage while he was reportedly trying to flag down their truck.
Neighbors in the area say they often try to stop vehicles from driving up and down their roadway because it’s narrow and crowded.
Donald Savage’s widow, Kathy, is holding a candlelight vigil in remembrance of her husband Tuesday evening.

In a Facebook post, Kathy Savage said the vigil will begin around 9:30 p.m. at her home, near the back of the Westwoods neighborhood on Sabin Drive.
A visitation will be held for Donald Savage on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Tucker-Yocum & Wilson funeral home.
