Vigil being held for slain trooper

Radcliff, Ky. (WTVQ) – A candlelight vigil will be held for a slain Kentucky State trooper in his hometown.

Joseph Ponder was shot Sunday after he pulled over a driver.  That driver sped away and fired shots into Ponder’s police cruiser.  Ponder was hit and later died.

A vigil in his honor will take place on Wednesday, September 16th at 8 p.m. on the football field at North Hardin High School at 801 S. Logsdon Parkway in Radcliff.
