Victim’s son forgives mother’s alleged murderer
Paris Charles is accused of killing Goldia Massey back in September then cutting up her body.
In a video conference Wednesday afternoon, he pleaded not guilty but has no bond; the judge says he is too dangerous and a flight risk.
Massey’s son, Zachariah, says the arrest is a huge relief and says he feels like 1,000 pounds have been lifted off his shoulders.
He says he is holding onto the good memories of his mom and after about five months of not knowing, he says the arrest brings closure.
He hopes for the best for Charles.
“I just want to let him know, I forgive him and wish him the best and that’s really hard for me to say honestly but I know that’s what my mom would want,” said Massey.
Court records show Charles has a history of domestic violence cases but none with Massey.
