Victim identified in fatal I-75 crash Monday
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County coroner has identified a woman killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 Tuesday evening.
The coroner says Jennine Petrey, of Williamsburg, was killed in the crash.
State Police say the accident happened around 6:00 p.m. just north of Exit 41 in the northbound lanes.
Investigators say traffic was already at a standstill on the interstate due to another crash in the area when a semi plowed into one car, triggering a chain-reaction crash that involved five vehicles and the semi.
The debris field stretched an estimated 300-yards, according to investigators.
The northbound lanes were closed for several hours. They have since reopened.
