Victim in fatal Jackson County crash identified

MCKEE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman who died in a two-vehicle crash in Jackson County last week has been identified.

Kentucky State Police say the crash happened on Friday just after 7:20 p.m. on US-421, just north of McKee.

Police say 28-year-old Melinda Parker, of London, crossed the center line of hit a truck head-on.

Parker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Parker had a young child in the car with her.

Police say the child was airlifted to the University of Kentucky hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
