Retired KVE officer arrested on charges related to sexual abuse of a minor

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – Versailles police say a 76-year-old man is behind bars after being charged with sexually abusing a minor.

Donald Drury, a retired Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement officer, faces 3 counts of sex abuse and 1 count of sodomy.

According to an arrest citation, on three occasions in June, Drury masturbated in front of a 14-year-old boy, documenting the acts in a calendar with the words “spent night.”.  Then, in July, the citation says Drury had a 15-year-old boy perform oral sex on him, and recorded the incident on his phone.

Drury is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

He was taken to the Woodford County Detention Center.
