Vaccine clinics set this week at three Fayette schools

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The new school year is here, and so are more special chances to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Three free COVID-19 vaccination clinics are scheduled this week in partnership with Fayette County Public Schools. Both will feature the Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 years and older.

Walks-in will be accepted, and appointments can be scheduled at lfchd.org/vaccine (and lfchd.org/vacuna in Spanish).

  • 1-3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, Edith J. Hayes Middle School, 260 Richardson Place.
  • 1-3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, Leestown Middle School, 2010 Leestown Road.

The third one is at Frederick Douglass High School from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Register below to receive either the first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine HERE

Free COVID-19 vaccines are also available by same-day appointment every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Health Department’s Public Health Clinic at 650 Newtown Pike.

Call 859-288-2483 to schedule an appointment. The Public Health Clinic offers the Moderna and Janssen vaccines for ages 18 and older and the Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 and older.
