VA forms partnership with Goodwill in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington VA Health Care System and Goodwill Industries of Kentucky have formed a partnership to help Veterans.
Under the agreement, the VA will work with Goodwill to employ Veterans at the VA.
The VA will serve as an advisor to Goodwill on Veterans issues.
Goodwill will provide the VA with $30,000 annually in vouchers to Goodwill stores so Veterans can get needed goods in their respective communities.
The vouchers will be managed by VA social workers.
The partnership is designed to reinforce the economic well-being of Veterans.
