Utility poles hit in two Lexington accidents overnight

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) –  Two drivers slammed into utility poles in Lexington early Monday morning.

The first happened on Irvine Road just before 1:30 a.m.

Police say that driver was arrested and charged with a DUI.

Less than two hours later, another driver lost control of his truck and hit a pole on North Cleveland and Democrat Boulevard.

Police say that driver was not injured.

Crews are repairing those poles.
