Using hemp in your everyday life
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – We hear a lot about hemp becoming a new cash crop in Kentucky.
All over the state, there are CBD stores popping up.
Now, a new store in Winchester is trying to show hemp can be used for much more.
46&2 opened about two months ago in partnership with Kentucky hemp leader Gencanna.
The store has oils, creams, and gummies made from hemp.
It also has t-shirts and hats made from hemp and plans to eventually stock all sorts of hemp based food and drink.
The owner says the products help with overall health, skin irritation, and muscle relief.
Researchers are still studying it to learn more about possible benefits and risks.
Customer and Zumba instructor, Heather Douthitt had knee pain and tried the oil and cream.
Douthitt says after using the products for three months daily she felt better an didn’t need to keep taking medicine.
“I didn’t realize the significant difference until I stopped taking it for about a week a half,” said Heather Douthitt.
The owner hopes customers will appreciate hemp from the time it’s growing in Kentucky fields to the moment they’re taking a piece of it home.
