Urban Service Boundary expansion public meeting Tuesday in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) -In Lexington, officials are once again focusing on expanding the city’s Urban Service Boundary. Urban County Council members and the Fayette Alliance are inviting the community to a “Growing Our City” session on Tuesday to discuss Lexington’s planned boundary expansion.
Last November, the council voted to expand the Urban Service Area in five locations across Fayette County. City officials state that an Urban Growth Master Plan must be completed by this December, or an automatic expansion will be triggered.
Tomorrow’s meeting will include new research on housing trends and the latest options for expansion. The meeting will be held Tuesday night from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at The Cornerstone on South Limestone.
