Urban County Council works on compromise for minimum wage increase

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-  There is a new minimum wage plan on the table in Lexington.

Urban County Councilmember Susan Lamb today proposed raising the current minimum wage to $9 an hour. It would be phased in over three years.

Councilmember Jennifer Mossotti has already proposed a minimum wage of $10.10. She says she will meet with Lamb and other councilmembers soon, to talk about a middle ground.
