Urban County Council Okays Zone Change For Hotel
Lexington’s Urban County Council on Tuesday approved a zoning change that would allow a hotel to be built near the corner of Nicholasville Road and Southland Drive.
The vote was 11-to-3.
According to a report in the Lexington Herald-Leader, the proposal is for a four-story hotel.
Backers said it would be good for the local economy.
Opponents were worried about an increase in traffic and noise.
