UPS resumes operations after deadly Louisville plane crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – UPS operations are beginning to return to normal following the deadly plane crash near Louisville’s airport earlier this week. The company confirmed that Worldport — its massive air hub — resumed operations Wednesday evening for its Next Day Air night sort, with flights arriving at destinations Thursday morning.

Jim Mayer, Senior Director of Media Relations for UPS, said the company’s top priority is restoring its schedule “as quickly and safely as possible.” UPS continues to cooperate with federal investigators as they work to determine what caused Tuesday’s tragic crash.
