UPDATED: Race Street Shooting Victim Died
Lexington Police responded to a shooting on Race Street just before three Sunday afternoon.
Officers said they got call to the 200 block of Race Street for shots fired.
Neighbors said the gun fire was so very loud and that it sounded like six or seven rounds were fired.
When police got there, they said they found a woman with multiple gun shot wounds to her chest. She was on the front porch.
Police also said they are looking for a suspect described as an African-American male, with a thin but muscular build, without a shirt and wearing blue jeans.
The Mobile Crime Lab was sorting through evidence Sunday afternoon into the evening. Homicide units were also on the scene.
The coroner has not yet released the name of the victim.
