Update: Video Could Be Clue In Frankfort Bourbon Theft Case

There’s a possible break in a bourbon theft case in Frankfort.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video Wednesday of a man, in a pink or purple shirt, arriving at an Elizabethtown liquor store.

Sheriff Pat Melton says the man wanted to sell a bourbon known as Pappy Van Winkle.

And it happened after someone stole $26,000 worth of Pappy Van Winkle from the Buffalo Trace Distillery.

That’s 195 bottles.

Melton says the thefts took place over a two-month period.

He calls the man in the video a ‘person of interest’.
