UPDATE: Victim in Fatal Nicholas Co. crash identified
STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – New details have emerged in a fatal collision that took the life of one person in Nicholas Co. around 8:00 a.m.. Wednesday morning.
State police say a box truck driver was headed east on US 68, when two west-bound cars, a Ford Focus and a Hyundai Elantra, pulled into his lane and the vehicles collided. The driver of the Ford Focus, 22-year-old Glenda Crump, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Nicholas Co. Coroner. The other car driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to troopers. The truck driver was not injured.
Officers say the accident is still under investigation.
