UPDATE: UK Healthcare no longer diverting patients

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – UK Healthcare says it is no longer diverting some patients arriving by ambulance.

On Wednesday, the hospital system announced it was once again forced to send some patients to other hospitals because of computer issues. UK Healthcare says it was done as a precautionary measure to limit the number of patients coming into its hospitals. Trauma care, pediatric, high-risk obstetric, and burn patients were not diverted during that time.

On Thursday, it announced the hospitals were off divert status.

Earlier in the week, UK Healthcare also had to temporarily divert patients because its registration system began experiencing issues.
