UPDATE: The Salvation Army Still Needs Donations To Reach Its Red Kettle Campaign Goal

Christmas may be over, but The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign in Lexington is not, as the organization desperately needs donations through the end of the year.

Not counting Thursday’s donations, red kettle donations stood at $485,375,17, according to The Salvation Army.

The organization’s goal for 2014 is $550,000.00

The money is used to fund vital programs year round, not just during the holidays.

People can also donate online and thanks to an anonymous donor, donations will be matched up to $100,000.00.
