UPDATE: Suspected cocaine found in plane that crashed in Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a duffle bag found in the wreckage of a private plane that crashed in Henderson had suspected cocaine and cash inside.

Investigators say the plane crashed nose-first into the ground after running out of fuel about 50-yards off the side of a runway at the Henderson City-Henderson County Airport on Wednesday.  The two men on board died at the scene.

They were identified by KSP as 47-year old Barry Hill and 48-year old George Tucker, both of Sanford, North Carolina.

Investigators say they believe Tucker was piloting the Bellanca 17-30A fixed-wing aircraft and Hill was the passenger.  State Police say neither man was a certified pilot.

They believe the two were in the Henderson area looking for a fueling-stop when the plane went down.

Investigators say the plane had either been stolen or was being used without the permission of its owner.  State Police say they believe the plane was taken from Davie County, North Carolina.
