UPDATE: suspect charged in Red Mile Road double shooting

Lexington, Ky (WTVQ)- A suspect in the double shooting Thursday night on Red Mile Road has now officially been charged. Demetrioun Boaz, 20,  has been charged with robbery.

He turned himself in Friday night after police issued a warrant for his arrest.

Officers say the shooting started after a drug-related robbery that turned into a shooting. Two people were shot.

Police say charges are pending for one of them, a 19-year-old who is still in the hospital with wounds from five gunshots.

The other victim is a 22-year-old who police say was shot in the back. There is still another suspect police are trying to find. They say say he barricaded himself on the third floor of the house.
