Update: Students React to Anderson Co. School Threat

Students at Anderson County High School had an interesting day Monday.

Following word of a threat made via text messages to another student, school officials and Lawrenceburg Police scanned the entire school in the morning.

Many students say they had no real idea of what was happening and were worried all day.

Police say they received a report of  the threatening messages sent to a current female student at Anderson County High School just after midnight.

City officers and Anderson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the suspect, 19-year-old James Tindal, Jr.

Police say it does not appear Tindal Jr. had the capacity to follow through on the threat.

Tindal is in the Shelby County Detention Center facing charges of terroristic threatening and harassing communications.
