UPDATE: shooting victim tied to another Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- We have an update on a Lexington shooting we first told you about Friday on WTVQ.com.

Police say a woman who showed up to the hospital with a bullet wound was indeed shot where police were investigating a reported shootout around the same time.

Previously, officers weren’t sure the two were connected.

Investigators say a man called police, saying he had been shot at, but not hit while in a car on Scottsdale Circle and Rodney Place.

That call came in around 8:30 Friday night.

Soon after, as police found shell casings on the scene, a woman showed up to the hospital.

Police say her injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening.
