UPDATE: Police say 16-year-old killed parents, sister over computer privileges

CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police in Corbin say the 16-year-old son of two parents killed in their home, along with their young daughter was the one who killed them.

Officers say Jason Hendrix then fled to Maryland where he got in an accident, then shot an officer before being shot to death himself. Corbin’s police chief says Hendrix, a high school ROTC student and active church member was angry at his parents, Kevin and Dr. Sarah Hendrix, for taking away his computer privileges.

Police believe Jason Hendrix shot his parents and younger sister execution-style in their home Wednesday but it wasn’t until his run-in with Baltimore County police Saturday, they were found.

Police say he was armed with four weapons and a backpack full of ammunition.

Police in Baltimore County say the teen shot a police officer Saturday before he was shot and killed. That officer is expected to be okay.
