UPDATE: One Firefighter Out Of Hospital, Another Still Critical After Ice Bucket Challenge Accident
Campbellsville firefighter Alex Quinn, who was seriously injured during an ice bucket challenge, was released from the hospital on Tuesday, according to the University of Louisville Hospital.
Campbellsville Fire Captain Tony Grider remained in critical condition, according to the hospital.
A few weeks ago, after the fire department poured water on the Campbellsville University Marching Band in an ice bucket challenge to raise money for ALS research, the fire truck bucket ladder came close to high voltage power lines.
Firefighter Quinn and Captain Grider, who were in the bucket, were shocked along with two firefighters who were with the fire truck on the ground.
The two firefighters on the ground were treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries.
Firefighter Quinn and Captain Grider were airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital.
