UPDATE: No indictment in deadly police shooting
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Madison County Grand Jury announced today that no one would be indicted in a deadly police shooting in Richmond.
Lexington police say on September 13, 2014, they started pursuing Jesse Aaron Gibbons. The chase continued into Madison County. State police say Gibbons ended up shot, and he crashed on the eastern bypass. Gibbons later died.
According to investigators, Lexington police, state police and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were all involved in the shooting. Evidence went to a Madison County Grand Jury.
State police released the grand jury report Wednesday. KSP says the panel heard testimony from an eyewitness, the state police investigator and medical and firearms experts before it made its decision.
