Update: More than 1500 Inches Of Hair Collected At Donation Event

A hair donation event called "Kaitlyn’s Kourage" held over the weekend to benefit children with Alopecia was a big success.

Jennifer Palumbo, the organizer’s mother, said the group collected 1555 inches of hair for children with Alopecia. The event was organized by Kaitlyn Palumbo who suffers from the disease. Jennifer Palumbo joined in the hair donations by giving Kaitlyn 14 inches of her hair so that her daughter could wear her red locks that she always loved. 

"Kaitlyn’s Kourage" will be collecting donations through the end of the month. Donations can be sent to 120 Pheasent Run, Nicholasville,KY 40356. They can also be dropped off at Salon Asa in Lexington.
