UPDATE: Missing Knox County man found dead in high water
WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities say a Knox County man missing last week has been found dead in his submerged vehicle in Whitley County.
The Whitley County Coroner’s Office says 74-year-old Ronnie Bryant was found after his vehicle was spotted around 6:15 p.m. on Monday. The coroner says the water started to recede on Highway 779, making the vehicle visible and allowing divers to go in and retrieve Bryant’s body.
Kentucky State Police reported Bryant missing on February 6 after he was last seen driving to his job at 8:45 p.m. Troopers say he worked as a night security guard at a mining site in Whitley County, but never showed up for work that night.
