UPDATE: March bank robbery suspect arrested

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man wanted in connection to a bank robbery in Lexington last March was arrested Wednesday after running from officers and U.S. Marshals, according to Lexington Police.

25-year old Jermaine Benton is accused of robbing a United Bank branch on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington just before noon March 31, 2017, according to investigators.

He was found Wednesday in Georgetown, according to LPD.

With help from the U.S. Marshals Service, State Police and the Scott County Sheriff’s office, Benton was captured after a brief pursuit in the area of Florence Avenue in Lexington, according to police.

He was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center facing nearly a dozen charges, according to authorities.

Another man wanted in connection to the robbery, 39-year old Michael T. Taylor, was arrested July 25 at a motel on Stanton Way in Lexington, according to police.
