UPDATE: Man Wanted In Laurel Co. Gas Station Robbery Turns Himself In

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said a man wanted in connection to an armed robbery had turned himself in at the Mount Vernon Police Station.

Phillip Thomas, 36, is accused of holding up Spur Service Station Tuesday morning off of I-75.

Deputies said Thomas worked at the Spur Station.

They also said his brother was working the cash register when it happened.

Thomas was charged with first-degree robbery.
