UPDATE: Man Charged In Lexington Arson Case

Investigators said Cesar Cruz-Lopez, 35, was arrested and charged Friday in connection to a Lexington arson case.

Police and fire crews were called to a home on Harris Court on Thursday evening.

Investigators said upon arrival they noticed a back window had been broken out with a blood trail leading from the window.

Firefighters said the fire was intentionally set.

Investigators said two rooms of the home suffered damage.

Investigators said Cruz-Lopez was treated and released from the hospital and eventually he was taken to jail and charged in connection to the fire.

Fire investigators said Cruz-Lopez may have broken the window to get out of the burning home at which time he was cut by glass.
