UPDATE: Man accused of fighting with officer arrested

Police say 33-year-old Christopher Cobb was taken into custody around 4:45 Friday afternoon at the High Acres Shopping Center in Lexington. Officers say a tip led them to Cobb. They say after he was arrested, he was taken to the hospital for unrelated health problems.

According to police, an officer first pulled Cobb over Friday morning on I-64, near the 83 mile marker. Police say the officer says he ended up fighting with Cobb. The officer says he tried to use his taser, but couldn’t. He says Cobb tried to take his gun, but failed. According to the officer, Cobb then ran into the woods.

There is no word yet on what charges Cobb is facing.
